Sermon 9 – I’m UNCOMFORTABLE

In Revelation 3:14-22, the modern day church is represented by the town of Laodicea; neither hot nor cold. It sits in the middle, not wishing to offend or oppose the evil within it or around it. It’s comfortable with its lot,

but, I’m uncomfortable …. Read the rest of this entry »

Sermon 4 – THE UNSAVED CHRISTIAN

Q. Is there such a thing as a Christian who isn’t saved?

The church teaches ‘once saved always saved’, but is that true? It’s true if you’re saved; but what if you’re not really saved?

The parable of the 5 foolish virgins in Matthew 25 strongly suggests that it’s possible to lose the Holy Spirit, and confirms that you can’t get the Spirit from someone else. You alone are responsible for the Spirit to stay in you.

Think about the … Read the rest of this entry »

Sermon 3 – There’s no such thing as unconditional love

A humanist in the church started a concept that’s not endorsed by the Word of God. Unconditional love sounds right but it’s not. Unconditional love means that God will love me no matter what I do. That’s a lie! God’s love is conditional. His ten commandments are conditions for His love (Exodus 20). Repentance with the right attitude is a condition for His love; Peter was forgiven, but Judas was cursed; David was forgiven, but King Saul was cursed; Jacob was forgiven, but Esau was hated, Romans 9:13. If you sin, knowingly or unknowingly, there is a consequential punishment; and if you resist correction you can lose your Read the rest of this entry »

Sermon 2 – “Don’t call me stupid”

SERMON 2. Don’t call me STUPID!
How do you react when someone calls you ‘stupid’? Most people bite back. In Matthew 5:22, Jesus challenges people who call others ‘stupid’ to think before they accuse, because the act equates to killing the person’s character and earns hell punishment. Therefore, the person who brands others as ‘stupid’ is actually passing judgment on themselves because it’s the height of hardness to have experienced the pain of being called ‘stupid’ and then to turn on others with the same hurtful brand. Jesus doesn’t judge them; they’ve judged themselves. Everyone has said in their heart, Read the rest of this entry »

Sermon 1 – Are you in your right mind?

In Mark 5, Jesus heals the man with 2000 demons and the people come and find him in his right mind.

In Romans 8, the Word says that the carnal mind is against God’s mind. Any time you won’t do what God says, you harden your mind. Like arteriosclerosis, if you persist long enough in resistance to the mind of God, you’ll end up with a hard-heart and thus have a spiritual heart attack.

You say, “I love God and do everything He says, to the best of my ability”. Most Christians love Jesus for Read the rest of this entry »
